BuzzShed is a community of members who discover and share great videos, and make some money watching video advertising.

As a member you can add videos to BuzzShed, then other members will rate your video using our Buzz or Bury rating system - creating buzz about the videos that really rock, and burying the rest.

So if you're hunting for quality videos, have a look around BuzzShed. The more buzz a video gets the higher it appears on our browse pages, and the top videos are promoted to the front page for all visitors to see.

And now for the twist! BuzzShed is more than just social bookmarking for videos. Some BuzzShed members are in fact advertisers that pay other members to watch their videos. That's right - as a member you'll get paid to watch videos!

These sponsored videos might be about sales or special deals for BuzzShed members, or funny videos that the advertiser hopes you'll share with your friends. Each video will be matched to your profile, so we're pretty sure you'll find each one relevant and interesting.

All you need to do is tell BuzzShed about your hobbies and interests, and we'll send you a BuzzClip when an advertiser adds a video we know you'll be interested in. What's a BuzzClip you ask? Well, it's an email containing a link to a sponsored video - watch it and we'll pay you 30 cents. It's that simple!

When you sign up with BuzzShed, we'll ask you for some basic information about your lifestyle and personal interests. We'll then anonymously group your information together with all other members, to help us find the best audience for our videos.

Then when an advertiser wants to distribute a video, say a preview of the next Harry Potter movie, we might send a BuzzClip to all members under 25 who like reading books and going to movies. If you meet these criteria you'll receive an email linking to a video on the BuzzShed website, and we'll credit 30 cents to your account once you've watched it.

A BuzzClip is an email we'll send you when an advertiser is distributing a video we think will interest you. The email will contain a link to a video on the BuzzShed website, and once you've watched the video we'll credit 30 cents to your account.

The videos will be from your favourite stores, manufacturers, cell phone providers, and other interesting companies. They might be funny promotional videos or they might tell you about new products or upcoming special deals. You'll sit back and watch an entertaining video, be the first to know about new promotions or sales, and get a minimum of 30 cents for each video we send you!

You guessed it - there is no fine print or hidden costs to worry about! Membership is 100% free, you can cancel your membership at any time, and your private details are completely safe. You won't received any unsolicited email from us and we'll never sell or disclose your email address and other private information.

To withdraw your money from BuzzShed follow these simple steps:

1. Visit My BuzzShed and click "payout" to schedule a payout.
   
   
2. Then on the first day of the following month, we'll transfer your full balance to PayPal using the email address you have registered with BuzzShed.
   
   
3. You'll receive an email from PayPal letting you know that new funds have arrived. If you don't have a PayPal account the email will include instructions on how to either set up an account, or transfer the money directly into your bank account.
   
   

PayPal is a widely trusted method of safely sending money online and has over 100 million accounts. With PayPal handling the payouts you don't need to give BuzzShed any of your bank or credit card details.

Don't worry, if you don't have a PayPal account you'll receive an email from PayPal when the money arrives describing how to transfer the money directly into your bank account. For more information on how PayPal works we suggest you visit the PayPal Help Center.

We take the security and privacy of your personal information very seriously.

When you join BuzzShed we'll ask you some questions about your interests and your lifestyle, so that we only send you relevant videos. We know that you might be concerned about the security and privacy of this information so we have a number of robust security mechanisms in place to make sure your personal information is very well protected.

In addition, we make a promise never to disclose or sell any of your personal information to anyone. We do anonymously group together information about BuzzShed members, to provide advertisers information like "BuzzShed has 5,000 female members between 18 and 21", but your personal details will never be associated with this data, and will never be individually identifiable.

BuzzShed is a completely new way of advertising, so initially you'll need to be patient as it catches on. We won't send you more than two BuzzClips a day, and if you're too busy to watch the video you can simply delete the email - but you won't get paid!

The videos will be from your favourite stores, manufacturers, cell phone providers and other interesting companies. They might be funny promotional videos or they might tell you about new products or upcoming special deals.

One thing you can be sure of is that we'll only ever email you a link to video that we have personally screened for any offensive or obscene content. This means you and your children won't receive a link to video with content that we deem to be inappropriate.

Absolutely not! BuzzClips and the occasional newsletter are the only emails we'll ever send you. We won't send you more than two BuzzClips a day and if you'd rather not receive our newsletter you can unsubscribe at the click of a button.

You're free to leave BuzzShed at any stage - though we're pretty sure you won't want too! But if you decide to call it quits you'll never hear from us again.

Every BuzzClip video you watch will earn you at least 30 cents. Advertisers choose the value so some might be worth more than 30 cents, but the minimum value is currently set at 30 cents per BuzzClip.

So if you receive two BuzzClips a day for a month, you'll earn just under $20 a month just for watching the occasional video!

Note - all money amounts on BuzzShed are in US dollars, but when you request a payout you can choose to get paid in US dollars or in your local currency.

BuzzShed is currently available to people who live in the following countries:

If you live in a country that is not on this list, you can still join BuzzShed to add and buzz videos, but you will not receive BuzzClips.

When you receive a BuzzClip, click on the link in the email and watch the video. When the video has finished, look next to the video for a yellow window titled 'BuzzClip'. This window will contain a question - answer it and we'll credit your account.

By answering the question you help us to confirm that you actually did watch the video. The answer should become very obvious after the video has finished. For example, in a video containing lots of footage of a black Toyota Hilux, the question might be 'what colour is the Toyota Hilux featured in this video?', and the correct answer would be 'black'.
